I'm no expert at homeschooling but as a new Homeschooling Mommy I want to recommend a FANTASTIC website for children K-8 and it's called Time 4 Learning and so far we love it! I have learned more about my daughter's strengths and weaknesses than I ever knew before. The program is great for homeschoolers because it really covers all the subjects public schools require and it makes it so much fun for the child to learn. They cover math, language arts, science, social studies, and language art extensions. They classes can be set to whatever time period you choose for example you might want each class to last 45 mins, you can set that time for each class. They also have a child's "Playground" this is a place that the child can go when they have completed a lesson which is a great incentive for the child to complete his/her lessons. The Playgound is filled with lots of great educational games.
The fee for Time 4 Learning is the best part for $19.95 a month ($14.95 for each additional child) and you can be on your way to homeschooling your child and feel good that they are learning everything they need to learn. I should mention also that there is a section for parents to print out logs for their child's progress and a forum for parents to exchange notes and ideas.
